People keep telling us Aokigahara is for "dark tourists" because of the dark history but we beg to differ. Aokigahara is a beautiful forest in Yamanashi prefecture that looks like it belongs in a storybook. If you have time there are also a bunch of caves, including the bat cave we visited.
