When the fracture doesn’t heal, it becomes a worse problem. One must achieve stability of the bone in order to heal the nonunion. In the video the image explains the X-Ray of the initial fracture and an X-Ray of the nonunion fracture of the distal humerus. In transcondylar fractures, the distal segment of the humerus is small and allows for stable fixation with the current methods of fixation. Pediatric blade plate is used to allow stable fixation, bone graft material is applied to help the fracture heal properly.
