This holiday sangria is festive, cozy, cinnamon-y, topped with citrus goodness. I mean what can I say? This sangria got it going on! The goal is to create a lip smacking liven up the party kinda holiday sangria. So without further or do…..let’s make some holiday punch! The sangria is sweet, sour, and fun all at the same time. INGREDIENTS 2 bottles Red wine 750mL each ½ cup Orange Liqueur ½ cup Brandy optional 1 cup Granulated sugar 1 cup Water 2 sticks Cinnamon 1 cup Fresh cranberries 1 Pink lady apple sliced 1 Granny smith apple sliced 1 Orange sliced 1 Barlett pear sliced ½ cup Pomegranate seeds ½ cup Cranberry juice optional ½ cup Pomegranate juice optional INSTRUCTIONS In a small saucepan combine the sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, and cranberries. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until the sugar has dissolved, approximately 2-5 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover and allow it to reach room temperature. Then refrigerate for 2-4 hours or up to 24 hours. Strain the simple syrup discarding the cinnamon sticks and cranberries. Combine the fruit, wine, orange liqueur, brandy, cranberry juice, and pomegranate juice into a pitcher or container. Sweeten to your liking with the cranberry cinnamon simple syrup.
