Effortlessly Mounting ATV Tires With Manual Tire Changer!

So, you're thinking of dismounting / mounting ATV tires with a manual tire changer; but when you put the wheel on your manual changer, you realize there's a problem... The centering hole is huge! This is exactly what happened to me, but it's a pretty easy solution to the LH (large hole) issue that many ATV, UTV and similar wheels share. Get out your trusty drill and dill a couple holes in the manual tire changer's mounting plate - it's that simple. If you have multiple ATV & UTV wheels, you may need to space the holes out around the plate for different bolt patterns. Provided you drill the holes in the plate so the ATV/UTV/LH wheel is centered, you can even use a Duck Head adapter modification for a super easy and scratch free tire removal and mounting process on both steel or alloy wheels. Big bulbous ATV/UTV tires are some of the simplest tires to dismount & mount at home. I used to do it completely by hand, using tire spoons before getting a manual tire changer & duck head mod, and while tire spoons worked; the process was quite difficult, took time and it always scratched the rim of the wheels no matter how careful I was. No more of that! It's easy & fast now with scratch free results every time.
