I’ve said it so many times, usually after something didn’t work out, as a way to comfort myself. But lately I’ve been asking: do I actually live like I believe that… or do I just say it to feel better? In this episode, I’m catching you up on a few Honesty Circle updates (hello, Wednesday episodes 👋🏾), inviting you into a new monthly Bible study, and sharing how a simple Black Friday thrifting trip with my sister turned into a whole heart check about control, trust, and outcomes. Her casual, faith-filled “If it’s meant for me, it’ll still be there” wasn’t a reaction after disappointment. It was her starting posture. And that hit me. Hard. Because I usually pull that phrase out when something doesn’t go my way, not before anything happens.
