In Stranger Things Season 1 Episodes 1–3, the peaceful town of Hawkins, Indiana is shattered when Will Byers vanishes without a trace. His mother (Joyce Byers) becomes convinced he’s reaching out through the lights, while Chief Hopper begins uncovering clues that point toward the sinister Hawkins National Laboratory. Meanwhile, Will’s friends — Mike, Lucas, and Dustin — search the woods and stumble upon a mysterious girl with a shaved head and strange powers. They call her Eleven, but she seems terrified of something far worse lurking nearby.
