I revisited a beach full of black sand, where signals are distorted, digging is difficult but finds are many and sometimes odd. The results were good. Minelab Manticore: (Beach General) & (Beach Surf & Wet), sensitivity variously 16-20, recovery speed 6, ground balance - auto tracking (mostly) on, (ferrous discrimination - default) I'm a recreational detectorist, not a treasure hunter. After 40 uninterrupted years of working (retired 2023), I beach metal detect for exercise, to enjoy fresh ocean air, and to eat a monstrously unhealthy but delicious meal afterward to counteract the benefits of exercising. (see my "community" tab) The possibility of finding something interesting and/or valuable in each scoop, keeps me going. In my low-key, basic videos I'll endeavor to show my finds, in-frame, in focus, well lit, with tones included. I'll usually call out the VDI numbers & my guess what the target might be. I'll also add scenic shots so viewers can follow my progress on the beach. And there will be an organized wrap-up of finds at the end.
