Fate of Ganguly-Jayshah in focus; SC To Begin Hearing BCCI Plea to Amend Constitution | English News

The BCCI has filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking for many constitutional modifications, which may undo some of the most substantial changes that the RM Lodha Committee proposed and that the court accepted in 2018. Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli, who make up a two-judge panel, listened to amicus curiae Maninder Singh and BCCI legal counsel Tushar Mehta, who is also the country's attorney general. The court also heard from the Cricket Association of Bihar, who had originally brought the case against the BCCI in the wake of the 2013 IPL corruption incident, which ultimately resulted in the revision of the BCCI's bylaws.
