How To: Replace Bearings on Bolens 1050 42 Inch Mower Deck

I have a Bolens 1050 with a 42 inch mower deck (and various attachments). I had trouble with the belt flipped off under load. I found that the bearings were well worn and causing wobbling of the belt excessively. I purchased new bearings from SamBolens.net (i think its that you can google it) and actually at first purchased the wrong set :( . That cost me some money. Then I got the correct bearings and spent a good afternoon installing them. It takes a bit of doing, especially with such an old deck whose bearings likely were never replaced before (40 years old). The result is nice tight spinning blades and no more belt flipping off which is great! I was able to mow my lawn again after almost 2 months of no mower action!
