The hot air balloon flying season in the UK has one last glorious air race to take part in, The Great British Long Jump. Balloons can fly anywhere within Great Britain, on any date in October, and compete against other hot air balloon teams to fly the furthest in a day, no stopping, no refuelling, no bathroom breaks etc. In this film we cover the launch of 2 pilots from Oswestry in the the Shropshire midlands as they head south, aiming to fly back to their home area of Bristol and Bath - or beyond if the winds allow. We will look at some of the competitions history, and bring you the 2020 result set against the backdrop of the balloon teams launch.
