Major Police Operation At A Busy Station | Paddington Station S2 EP13 | Our Stories

The British Transport Police are mounting a special operation to stop criminals who are running drugs out of the capital. Throughout the morning, undercover officers and uniformed officers are positioned around the station to observe passenger behaviour. Before long, a passenger is found carrying cannabis and a dangerous knife which could lead to up to four years in prison. A crack has been discovered on a rail joint at Acton East. Mobile Operations Manager Mark heads out to investigate - if the plate snapped under the passage of a train it could be fatal. The crack is in a tricky place at the entrance to a busy freight depot and until it's fixed the trains can't move. Back at Paddington, staff have an emergency rescue on their hands. A man has fallen through the gap between the train and the platform, just as the 18:33 to Exeter was ready to leave. With the man underneath the train carriage, Platforms One and Two are shut down while police and paramedics start the rescue mission.
