To test the level of arthritis awareness primary school pupils had, we hosted an artistic competition where pupils were asked to depict what arthritis meant to them and we were pleasantly surprised at what we found! In this video we visited Imbasa Primary School to award Ndumiso Msipa (who has had no formal training in the arts) for his outstanding creativity and skill. Ndumiso (1st prize winner) did not expect to win the competition but says that he is happy to have won. Ndumiso won himself a bicycle, R2,000 for his school (Imbasa Primary School). Hi friend later in the video wishes Ndumiso well and adds that he should never stop using his gift and should use it to advance himself to greater heights in life. It is not only the elderly who are affected by arthritis, children, teenagers and young adults also get affected by arthritis. Over 60, 000 children in South Africa live with some form of Arthritis.
