National Guard in Portland | Timeline of events in Trump administration calling for troop deployment

The Trump administration invoked Title 10 in late September, effectively federalizing the Oregon National Guard and allowing the president to deploy those guards to cities in the state. The administration argued that the troops' main duty would be to protect federal buildings in the state, most prominently the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland, which has seen numerous protests throughout the summer. The state and the city of Portland filed lawsuits against the Trump administration to stop the deployment of troops. This video is a timeline of the events which have happened so far.
