Jamie Preece, a volunteer and cyclist at Sheffield Cycling 4 All cycled from Hillsborough Park to Kelham Island in Sheffield to test out the new infrastructure. Sadly, it had been taken down before we finished this video. This is really sad because we loved it. Having segregated cycling lanes makes cycling more accessible to people with disabilities and long term health conditions. The Shalesmoor cycle lane infrastructure meant people could avoid public transport, gain the benefits of low impact exercise and maintain independence. As well as helping to address climate change and better air quality.
