I think the music he's making is such a breath of fresh air, SCRAPYARD was such a fantastic project and has been filling all my playlist cause it's definitely the vibe of my life right now! I’m super super excited for what Quadeca has planned with his next project (VANISHER) because I’ll def tap in whenever that comes out AND as well as the collaborations with Kevin Abstract for Kevin’s new era “glue” I think Quadeca influence will be AMAZING for Kevin’s music, you can already tell through snippets/Kevin's own glue era leaks the pair is about to put out something incredible! ANYWAYS since I’ve been following Quadeca’s stuff now I saw that he posted the Vinyl Exclusive songs to his YouTube and gave it a listen and this shit is FANTASTIC, IDK how one person can cook so much lol, BUT anyways I peeped the desc and saw he called them the “scrapped scraps” and mentions that these songs were planned for a surprise mixtape following SCRAPYARD and originally featured WAY TOO MANY FRIENDS, I MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS, GUESS WHO? & EVEN IF I TRIED along with these new Vinyl exclusives. So that gave me the idea to be like “why not make that scrapped mixtape with the info we have” and I did it! With personal curations by me (with inserting the 4 SCRAPYARD songs into the tracklist) I present the scrapped scraps! TRACKLIST: 01. guess who? (0:00) 02. perfectly cut scream (3:04) 03. like me (5:06) 04. even if i tried (7:27) 05. 123 (10:52) 06. mad at me (12:21) 07. effortless (15:04) 08. way too many friends (16:13) 09. 1 step program (18:21) 10. lifespan (19:52) 11. who i am (21:56) My thought process on where I placed these tracks was: firstly “guess who?” would've been the obvious opener for this project. It's such a banger song to start it off, and I feel like that may have been the vision if this mixtape actually came out. Then I inserted “even if i tried” in between “like me” & “123” because I think this song kind of expands the sounds he was going for and kinda flows/paces it better because this is the longest song on the tape and it kind of immerses you into that world. It also transitions nicely after “like me” and then into “123”. Lastly after “mad at me”, I put “effortless” (previously named I MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS but Quadeca referred to it as effortless in the desc so I kinda ran with that name) because this song goes good after “mad at me” and kinda used it how it was used in SCRAPYARD to try and switch up the vibe a bit and kinda like a short “banger breather” then honestly “way too many friends” comes after “effortless” on SCRAPYARD so I just kept it like that because these two songs together work well together. VISUAL changes would be I made all the titles lowercase as well as chose the alt pic black variant cover of SCRAPYARD cause I think this alternate photo/color would have complimented SCRAPYARD well if this surprise mixtape actually came out after. SHOUTOUT to the whole Quadeca community, the reddit and discord are filled with really nice/chill people, as well special shoutouts to fkslair for the alt cover he posted in the discord, superdavie_ for the Vinyl Exclusive Files and lastly superswagwow for the spotify ripper so I could get the 4 SCRAPYARD songs!
