Mega Man X2 Bubble Crab stage theme metal cover by High Z Productions. The hook for this one is a finger twister! This was a challenge to learn on guitar but is too much fun to play once you get it down. Add some 8 string guitar and it's too much fun to play. ---------- Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/HighZ?sub_c... Tried doing this song with all Laradas and the active pickups leave nothing to hide. This definitely took a few takes. This one was tricky! With the hook in an atypical time signature, it takes a bit of practice. That descending tone is too cool to resist though. It's three measures of 6/4 followed by a 7/4 at the end, or 25/4 if you want to do it all in one. Tough to get it clean but I tried my best. I got stuck on this stage in X2 for a while until I could beat that fish submarine and get to all the secret locations. I tried something a little different and write a more djenty rhythm for this song, however in the end it just sounded like me playing rhythm guitar. It's good to know one has a consistent style at least! For future songs I'll be featuring more Ibanez guitars with passive pickups; they just feel like home and expedite the recording process. Actives sound good but for players who prefer the passive pickup response, they can be really tricky to get control over. I did appreciate how much my technique improved after this song so I will of course be using Laradas in the future. I've wanted to do this song since 2016 and only now have gotten confident in playing enough to make this attempt and put it out, so I hope you've enjoyed this song.
