Deer Valley Skiing POV: Insta360 X3 | Tycoon, Bowl, & Trees

This unreleased ski footage, captured with my Insta360 X3 mounted on my skis, offers a unique point-of-view experience from an unforgettable day on the slopes. Starting at the base of the Carpenter Chairlift, the ride up sets the tone for the adventure ahead. The top of the Carpenter Chairlift opens up to the Silver Link run, followed by the gentle McHenry Trail. After reaching the base of the Wasatch Chairlift, the lift ride up offers stunning views, leading to a ski down to Snowshoe Tommy’s Pit Stop for a well-needed break. From there, the action ramps up with a cut across to Tycoon, a challenging double-blue run, before entering the legendary Triangle Trees, where the terrain features upper, middle, and lower sections, each with varying levels of difficulty. The snow conditions at Triangle Trees were noticeably better than previous times, adding to the thrill of the day. After navigating the trees, I made my way to the Sultan Chairlift, then off to Ontario Bowl, a prime area for those seeking a more adventurous, off-piste (in-bounds) experience. After skiing down Ontario, the journey continued to Lady Morgan, where runs like Dakota, Supreme, and Orion offered more fun and excitement. The Empire Chairlift provided a new vantage point, leading to the Anchor Trees and the Daily Chutes Area, where the day's final run was meant to be the infamous X-Files. Unfortunately, technical difficulties prevented me from capturing this iconic run, and I decided not to include it in the footage to maintain the video’s overall quality. Despite this, it was a wonderful day filled with varying weather—from sun breaks to overcast skies—and notably better snow conditions at Triangle Trees and X-Files compared to previous seasons at Deer Valley.
