In November 2016, Ghana secured BRT buses which became known as Aayalolo to serve the purpose of providing affordable transport to the Ghanaian populace. 8 years on, another 100 fleet of vehicles (electric buses) were secured. Recently, over 200 buses were procured for Metro Mass Transit. Despite these fleet of buses, Ghanaians are still confronted with issues of long queues and exorbitant fares during peak hours. The question remains: are these buses secured to serve as backup to the informal sector? Is the givernment in bed with the private sector to rip Ghanaians off their money? In this video, I discuss in a dialogue with the Minister of Transport on how to make our transport system efficient.
