Kee Cho Hyung Ee Boo means Basic Form #2. It's the second pattern or form we do at our Studio for White Belts. Poomsae mean "To cultivate strength," and you make a capital "I" when performing this pattern on the ground. The capital "I" means "Worker" or the work you do in life. Basics techniques to this form. There are 3 main techniques. 1. Low Block 2. High Front Punch 3. High Block These techniques should be done with continuous motion and have equilibrium and balance while doing the motion. There is one stance called Front Stance in this form. The timing of each step should also be the end of your execution of low block and front punch. The form should start and stop in the same spot. Traditional parts of the pattern are: At ease. One of your own feet in width, hands behind your back. Chest out. Attention: Left foot moves from this position. Feet together, look straight ahead, and chest out. Fists are on your outer thigh. Bow: 3 count down and 3 count raise slightly less than a 45 degree angle. Feet together, fists on thighs. Ready stance/Return to Ready Stance: One of your feet length in width. Hands open in front by upper legs, hands close in fist once the hands are by your chest. Breath in on the raise, breath out while lowering them in a fist in front of your belt knot. Front Stance: 3 1/2 of your own feet long, 1 of your own feet in length. Front knee bent over your ankle. Back leg is locked. Toes facing forward. Low Block: Hammer Fist and top of forearm on the twist as your blocking area. High Front Punch: Closed fist, strike with your index and middle finger knuckle to your nose. Keep your wrist straight aligning with your elbow and shoulder. High Block: Block with the top of your forearm and twist your hand so your pink knuckle is facing the ceiling. Defends overhead and face attacks. 20 movements Kihap: yell at the 8th and 16th movements before the pretzel turn.
