On today’s episode of MEE Live, we hear from a Palestine Action prisoner on day 38 of her hunger strike. Teuta Hoxha is one of eight UK prisoners hunger striking while awaiting trial for alleged criminal damage inflicted while part of Palestine Action - before the group was banned under terrorism legislation. Though not convicted of any crime, all have been denied bail ahead of trial. As they enter week six of their hunger strike, five have been hospitalised so far. Despite growing concern voiced by loved ones and MPs from several parties, the UK Ministry of Justice has yet to intervene in their cases. On today’s episode of MEE Live, we learn about their conditions in prison and the legal premises for doing so. Additional reporting done by Katherine Hearst.
