In Ostoja Natury we are looking for the best ways to farm, work, and live. In this series, we present our journey to becoming a fully Regenerative Farm. We do concentrate on farm methods, innovations, and "out of the box" projects all important for Regenerative Agriculture, like farming methods and techniques, new solutions, and many small and big innovations. Farmer's house is probably as important as a farm itself, we decide to look for house models that will match our regenerative approach. The Earthship concept has long been studied by our members in books and presentations but now we have had a chance to meet a founder of the first known Earthship Village in Europe to help us with our plans. Support to find and invite such a precious guest comes from the Smart Rural 21 project and we are very grateful for that. Paul shared with us their good and bad experiences in making an Earthship house in Aardehuis Holland and establishing the community known as "Ost" What is the Earthship house? How it all started? How it was built? How is it to live in an Earthship home? How was the journey? Those and many more questions Paul will try to answer in the second episode of Regenerative Agriculture in the making. The story of an ecological farm and cooperative Ostoja Natury in Tomaszyn (Poland) begins in 2019. Today after more than 3 years of work we want to share our experience and journey toward regenerative agriculture. While creating the Ostoja Natury ecosystem, we are inspired by nature’s already existing solutions. Just as in a prehistoric forest circuit is everything, waste is nonexistent, and our goal is to create an ecosystem designed to provide economic efficiency with minimal influence on the environment. Methods tested over the ages, such as crop rotation, raised seedbeds, moon wood, hemp, or home recipes are refreshed and implemented using technological innovations. Inspired by many great farmers and gardeners around the world, we decide to produce high-quality food using methods that are in harmony with nature, so there was only one choice for us - Regenerative Agriculture! It is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, enhancing ecosystem services, supporting biosequestration, increasing resilience to climate change, and strengthening the health and vitality of farm soil. Our recipe for our development is to connect the regenerative agriculture approach with intelligent solutions and that's how we are creating our agricultural ecosystem of tomorrow, the effect of a synergy of traditional thinking and a technological process. Na to i wiele innych pytań Paul będzie próbował odpowiedzieć w drugim odcinku "Regenerative Agriculture in the Making"
