This is a song presenting my frustrations with capitalism and how the elites hold themselves above the working man despite the fact the working man runs the cogs of society and without us they'd not have their riches and wealth or even the goods and services they enjoy over-consuming. Lyrics: Verse 1 A silver hand weighs bread and bone The tables tilt, but not for stone The ones who build are chained in sleep While those who feed just sell the dream The sky is paved with towers' moan Their roots drink deep from marrow grown A garden once with laughter sown Now shivers under thrones of chrome Coins fall like rain on rusted steel But thirst remains, and wounds won't heal The fire cooks for cloaked elites While empty plates line every street You pay in sweat, they dine in bloom The mansion laughs beside the tomb The wheel spins fast, but never cracks The ones beneath don't make it back Bridge 1 They carved the air and sold it twice They bottled time and named a price A factory sun devours the day And leaves behind a golden plague The court of smoke wears crowns of glass They curse the mirror, they pray it cracks But every lie they seed below Sprouts thorns they’ll reap, and revolt they'll sow Chorus 1 But there’s a breath beneath the stone A root that splits the king’s own throne Where hands meet hands, and hearts ignite We’ll plant the stars and steal the night Another world inside the dust Where kindness forms a blade of trust Where voices rise not just to scream But to rewrite this ancient dream Verse 2 The moon grows dim with smokestack breath Its tears condensed in oceans' death The forests hum in funeral tones While plastic roots replace their bones A circus wrapped in suit and tie Feeds pigeons hope while hawks fly high They speak in charts, in silent screams Where lives are margins, not real beings You see the child behind the gate Who learns that numbers outweigh fate A ledger's ink denies him sleep As clocks devour what he can't keep We build the cage, then call it peace We oil the gears that never cease But somewhere, still, a quiet seed Prepares to crack beneath their greed Bridge 2 They sell you wings but keep the sky And call you free, but at a price The ground you broke became their field But you get dust, and they, the yield The gluttons feast we'll bring to an end And we won't build their empires again Their silence screams but so do we With louder love, and people who are free Chorus 2 Yet still we rise from fractured lands With open hearts and calloused hands To share the shade, to raise the bread To count no soul as less or dead In markets not of flesh or fate But where compassion holds the weight Where wealth is time, not hoards of stone Where no one dies unseen, alone We’ll break the teeth that guard the gate Not out of rage, but to create A dawn not stained by gilded swords But etched in light and countless chords And in that dawn, you’ll hear the hum Of voices once kept small and numb No thrones remain, no gods are fed But songs for those who rose instead
