What is a CVL?

A creditors voluntary liquidation (CVL) allows directors to voluntarily liquidate their company when faced with significant cash flow problems and creditor pressure that's overwhelming. As such, a CVL prevents further losses being incurred. Generally, as directors have control, they can choose their liquidator and will deal with the same appointed Insolvency Practitioner throughout the CVL process.
