The Fruitridge Road railroad crossing on the Union Pacific Railroad Fresno Subdivision in Sacramento, Ca back in 2013 Vs 2016. The crossing up until 2014 had old Griswold, Federal Signal/WCH, and Modern Industries equipment. In January 2014 all the signals had LEDs installed in them and the median gated mast signal had its back pair of lights taken off and everything else stayed the same but the crossing became a quiet zone. This is also around the time the WCH and Griswold Mechanical bells started not ringing so good. Around the beginning of May 2014 the Griswold EM Gate Mechanisms and the median gated mast signal were replaced by Siemens/Safetran and Invensys Rail/Safetran Gate Mechanisms and the median gated mast signal was replaced with a new Invensys Rail/Safetran median gated mast signal with General Electric LEDs. In October 2014 the new median gated mast signal had its pair of back lights taken off. In April 2015 the Griswold Mechanical Bell died and was just clicking. June 2015 the Griswold Mechanical bell was fixed and back ringing faster than it ever was sounding healthy and the WCH Mechanical bell ring was louder also. In December 2015 the Mechanical Bells were replaced with WCH Gen 1 and 2 Type 2 Electronic Bells. Theirs some scheduled construction at all the railroad crossings on the UP Fresno Sub with this ones construction scheduled to start on May 2, 2016 to May 5, 2016. It will most likely be the track rebuilding at the crossing but I wouldnt be surprised if UP replaced the Griswold Cantilever. The clips on the Griswold Cantilever side is 2013 VS 2016.
