Today, I brought Towel Cakes and Brick-shaped Chocolate Cakes! The Towel Cakes come in three flavors: Plain, Matcha, and Chocolate, and I ordered them from a cake shop near my house! I bought the brick-shaped chocolate cake from a convenience store! These desserts that are popular in Korea right now have appeared a lot in Chinese mukbang videos! I love watching mukbangs from all around the world, and I’ve wanted to try these desserts way before they went viral! I was even thinking about going to China just to try them, but finally, my patience paid off! A place near my house started selling them recently, so I ordered them, and they were sooooo delicious! I was really surprised because I hadn’t tried the original, but these were way better than the usual crepe cakes! It actually reminded me of the crepe cake I had at Harbs in Japan! The cream inside wasn’t too sweet or rich, just perfect. The thin, soft crepes were amazing too! The texture was so satisfying, and I bet anyone would love it. There were lots of strawberries inside, so it was refreshing, and the crunchiness was a nice touch. The Brick-shaped Chocolate Cake wasn’t quite what I expected in terms of texture, but dipping it in warm milk made the chocolate part softer, and the cake became moist and way tastier! I’m so happy I got to try these trendy desserts, and especially the Towel Cake, I really enjoyed it and had such a great time eating it! If you get the chance, definitely give it a try!
