Committee Chair James Comer (R - KY), the Oversight GOP and Democrats addressed the press on Friday as former president Bill Clinton appeared for a historic deposition tied to the Epstein case. This marked the first time a former president has been compelled to testify before Congress, and comes a day after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified for hours on Thursday. Former President Bill Clinton said he did nothing wrong and did not see any signs of Jeffrey Epstein's abuses in his opening statement to lawmakers investigating the convicted sex offender. “I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things at the end of the day matter more than your interpretation of those 20-year old photos,” he said in his opening statement. “I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.” The former president has not been accused of wrongdoing but was pictured in several photos featured in the initial batch of Epstein files released by the Justice Department. Bill Clinton has also said he flew on Epstein’s plane while traveling abroad for the Clinton Foundation, which Republican lawmakers said would be a centerpiece of their long list of questions for him.
