Blackhouse Review: Recoil Rebel RDA by Grimm Green and OhmboyOC!

The Second iteration of the Recoil has arrived. Grimm Green (Nick) and OhmboyOC (Duane) have revamped and redesigned the Recoil Rebel with consumer feedback and innovation in mind, bringing the Recoil brand to the next level. While the original collaborative RDA from Grimm and Ohmboy was fantastic, this new Rebel fixes almost every issue with the OG RDA. Finally, a Recoil with AFC! Air flow control is a huge plus for anyone who really likes to fine tune their vaping experience, and this air flow control really brings it. You not only have options for more or less airflow, but also for higher or lower airflow, so no matter how you prefer to build coils on your deck, you can find a setting which suites you! Sadly we lost the "Snake Bite" style air flow with the AFC cap, but don't fret, you still get a secondary cap with snake bite airflow, very similar to the "Flavor Bro Flavor" top-cap from the original Recoil. Probably my favorite part of the new Recoil Rebel is the BIGGER DECK! Thank God that Nick and Duane listened to the feedback and ditched that tiny, hard to build on, difficult to wick deck and went with a full sized 24MM deck. Unfortunately, the posts and postholes are still nearly the same as the first Recoil in the new Rebel, due to the Ultem 1000 lip that's included to supposedly "reduce leaking." If I had to give just one input here, I'd say just ditch the Ultem ring and just pull the posts out to the center of the deck. Overall, the Recoil Rebel is a killer RDA with fantastic flavor, tons of customization, and excellent build quality. Definitely an RDA worth a look even if you don't buy RDA's just to buy RDA's.
