28 Years Later, We Finally Found The Cars! - Greenberg Train Show Haul Part 1 (August 2025)

Gary and Ryan share what they picked up at the August 2025 Greenberg Train Show in Edison, NJ. The first four pieces of rolling stock were bought from our friend Howard. This included a N&W 40' wood sheathed box car by Atlas, and three PRR 4-bay hoppers by K-Line. I found a fourth PRR 4-bay hopper from Barry. The next item was a surprise purchase that Joe from Grzyboski's Trains brought for pickup at the show, a Great Northern Extended Vision Caboose by MTH to go with our Big Sky Challenger. Last, but certainly not least, a deal to good to pass up. We found the MTH Rock Island E8 ABA diesel and seven matching passenger cars. Gary got this locomotive in 1997 when it came out, but never got the cars. 28 years later, we finally found the matching passenger cars, and it came with an engine!
