Dr. Nanda Rajaneesh | Appointment booking number: 8971755794 Consultant Onco Surgeon and Laparoscopic Surgeon|Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Bengaluru When there is a colon polyp that is very large, that is more than 2 cms , which cannot be removed by colonoscopy alone, then we prefer to remove it laparoscopically and the next thing is when there is a flat colonic polyp that cannot be removed colonoscopically because flat colon polyps will cause perforation if we try to remove them completely but in laparoscopy what we do is there is one method of laparoscopic colonic polypectomy with laparoscopic and colonoscopic guidance, that is through colonoscopy you identify the size of the colonic polyp and you excise it and laparosopically you close the hole, then the polyps are very large and the location of the polyp and you do thethe colectomy, the local colectomy is done when the polyp is very large that is more than 2cms, 3 cms polyp. So it can be both done with colonoscopic guidance and laparoscopic surgery. #colonpolyp #ColorectalCancer #BowelCancer #cancerscreening #ColonCancer
