Match play begins at the March Madness Bowling Tournament at Sterling Lanes in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. After qualifying, I finished as the #4 seed and now face the #13 seed in the first round of match play. One important factor in this match is that the lanes were NOT re-oiled after the final three games of qualifying, which means lane transition and adjustments become a huge part of the strategy. I did have an opportunity to clean my equipment and I decided to put 1000 grit on my urethane bowling balls because I felt that was the right solution after the first three because reactive was too inconsistent early. In tournament bowling, staying ahead of the transition can make all the difference. Follow along as I try to make the right adjustments and advance in the bracket.
