Push2Heat is an EU-funded project dedicated to overcoming the technical, economic, and regulatory barriers that currently limit the large-scale deployment of Heat Upgrade Technologies (HUTs) in industry. The project scales up four innovative technologies (90°C–160°C) to improve their efficiency and economic viability. Designed for energy-intensive sectors such as paper and chemicals, they will be demonstrated at industrial sites across Europe to validate their technical performance, environmental benefits, and business potential. In this video, you will take a virtual tour of Push2Heat Demo 1, located at the Felix Schoeller site in Weissenborn — one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of technical and speciality paper. Demo 1 showcases a two-stage High-Temperature Heat Pump (HTHP) process, developed with: -SPH Sustainable Process Heat as Technology Provider -Fraunhofer IEG as Knowledge Provider and Performance Assessment Partner Leading experts from the project partners provide first-hand insights from Demo 1: -Carsten Schmidt, Senior Project Manager at Felix Schoeller, explains the strategic relevance of the Push2Heat project for the company and its pathway towards industrial decarbonisation. -Tim Hamacher, Engineering Director at SPH Sustainable Process Heat, and Franz Helminger, Project Manager at SPH, discuss the technical and operational challenges of implementing a high-temperature heat pump within an active industrial facility. -Reuven Paitazoglou, Senior Researcher at Fraunhofer IEG, provides perspective on the role of high-temperature heat pumps in accelerating industrial decarbonisation Maider Epelde Agirre, Project Manager at TECNALIA Research & Innovation and Coordinator of Push2Heat, presents the expected performance outcomes of the this Demo and the broader vision of the project. 🔔 Stay connected with Push2Heat: 👉 Follow us on LinkedIn to receive the latest updates on our demo sites, technological developments, and project results. https://www.linkedin.com/company/push2heat... 👉 Join our Stakeholder Network to gain direct access to insights, events, technical findings, and opportunities to engage with experts shaping the future of industrial decarbonisation. https://push2heat.eu/contact/ 🌿 Be part of the transition towards sustainable industrial heat.
