Why Source Your Lumber From Vaagen Timbers?

Russ Vaagen here for Vaagen Timbers. I want to talk a little bit about our product mix, and then talk about why you should consider sourcing from Vaagen Timbers. For one, we're making cross-laminated timber, but we're also making glulam beams as well. Beams and columns. CLT is where we're doing multiple layers of lumber in a panel. So everything that we produce can be shipped on a lumber truck, just like lumber, and we can work with you because Vaagen Timbers is right next to Vaagen Brothers Lumber. We can source directly from the mill, and we understand the lumber grades to get you to kind of look that you're going for in whatever your project is. The reason we started producing glulam to begin with is we knew that a lot of your projects are going to have columns in there, and beams. And so we wanted to be a one-stop shop so you can come to us for not only your CLT, but also the glulam and we could deliver that in a package. And so what we're doing is we're working with environmental groups to collaborate on what goes on in our national forest system, and we're thinning the forest out, not to see how much volume we can get out. We're thinning the forest to leave a natural tree spacing that would have been there if regular fire regimes were in that forest. So our products are really the byproduct of forest restoration, so the fires don't burn and catastrophic wildfires, they actually now more resilient. They're more natural. And the byproduct, that lumber, that two-by-four, that two-by-six, two-by-eight goes into these engineered wood products to build apartment complexes and commercial structures and residents that you can be proud of.
