Durgapur, West Bengal: A second-year medical student from Odisha was reportedly raped while returning from an evening outing. The victim is currently admitted to a hospital. Her parents, who learned of the incident late last night, reached Durgapur this morning and filed a police complaint. The Durgapur Newtown Police Station has registered a case, recorded the victim’s statement, and launched an investigation.
