Montblanc Individuel Review: Released in 2003, Individuel gained significant traction in recent years thanks to the fragrance enthusiast community. Today, it is often regarded as a cult favourite as an affordable fragrance. [01:04] Composition: Individuel opens on a fruity burst of juniper berries and pineapple. Aromatic lavender and cardamom closely follow. The heart consists of coriander, geranium, mint and rosemary. Finally, fresh raspberry emerges as the first base note, which brings out sandalwood and a white musk scent. [04:48] Seasonality: An overall versatile scent, Individuel is best reserved for the milder months such as spring and autumn. Although it can also be worn during winter, it performs poorly during summer. [05:40] Wake & Strength: Opening as a strong fragrance, it can quickly lose momentum. Sillage is faint yet noticeable whilst the projection performs well. Meanwhile, the longevity will last through the first half of the day quite well. [06:32] 3rd Party Feedback: There are two schools of thought. The first finds Mont Blanc Individuel a comforting and clean fragrance reminiscent of fabric softener. In the mean time, the other camp finds it to be clawing and synthetic. Although they may agree with the fabric softener comment, they're not fans. [07:47] Impressions: Given its mild character, identifying a specific age range is difficult. The price range will be attractive to students and young professionals. However, the sandalwood is more of a mature fragrance. Otherwise, it's both a solid office fragrance yet ideal for nighttime wear. Finally, it's an overall conventionally masculine fragrance. [9:29] Presentation: Individuel has a slick and stylish bottle that's comfortable to hold. The bottle cap features a stylish ice-cap-style Mont Blanc logo but is difficult to remove sometimes. The box itself is quite stylish with a brushed metal effect. Meanwhile, the atomiser doesn't perform very well and lays it on a little too thick. Finally, value for money is excellent.
