[BIRDFEED EXCLUSIVE] Brazil's DJ Glen returns to the label and makes an appearance on the Birdfeed with"Afraid of Boogie Mafioso"! -How long have you been creating music? I ve been creating music since my first contact with a DAW, when I was a kid in late 90s with legendary ACID music. My brother used to be a dj this time and teached me the basics about music and i found this software for free on the CD recorder I bought to make some money selling pirate cds to buy BMX bicyle parts. -What do you use to make your tracks? Now I use Ableton Live as a DAW and my soundfonts are very diverse. From my percussion instruments to my analog synths like Doepfer, Korg, Arturia and of coarse, my voice and sexy brazilian accent! -How and when did you first discover Dirtybird? I am a vinyl lover and collector, I dont know exactly what was my first DB vinyl but I guess it was Maetriks one, a guy that I loved around 2005/ 2006. After this I picked DB as one of my favorites vinyl labels, and now I have like 40 titles, and the last one, has one track from me, was very special. -Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most? I have a nice connection with Justin Martin, one of most insane b2b I already had in my life was with him in a historic night in one of most famous underground clubs in Brazil, and I think he is the most talented Bird. I also love Claude, Ardalan, Christian Martin, Mija, Bruno Furlan (we made it), Danny Kolk (under construction), Ciszak and the guy who listen everything, Deron Delgado. But I really like to have an experience in studio to collaborate, collabs via internet are so boring. -If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you? Ahhahahah, very nice question! Today I feel like Mad Max because here in Brazil is happening a TruckDrivers Riot that blocked all the supplies to the cities for all the country, and I have no gas for one week, one week more and I will feel like Z Nation, when the food gone. -What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to? Rage Against The Machine, Sao Paulo, 2010. I started to love music with these guys, and for me that day I realized I could die happy. -If you could time travel, where and when would you go? The day my little son born, was in my own bedroom, a super special night which gave me the most important thing in my life. -What species of bird best describes you and why? I don’t know a lot about birds, but when I lived in Rio de Janeiro there was a lot of Toucans around my house, I always had been freeze when I see one of those. Most beautiful ever! -What does Dirtybird mean to you? It’s a model to how to do it proper, is not about money, its about love, music, and something you feel from inside, you know. When I touched in Campout for the first time this year, I could see lots of guys who thinks and acts like me, and it is something many times very hard to find, I found it by a secondary language called music. Dirtybird is a family for life.
