We bikepacked 240 miles through Montana! 🚴 The Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) runs 2,700 miles from the Canadian Rockies down to the Mexico border in New Mexico. And while many people ride the entire route (or race it on the Tour Divide), we opted to just ride the stretch from Fortine to Lincoln in Montana. And it was the HARDEST thing we have ever done! 🥵 Over 5 days we tackled almost 17,000 feet in elevation gain with heavy bikes and on mostly gravel terrain. And while it pushed us to our limits, it was also full of stunning scenery, fun small towns, and delicious food to revive our exhausted bodies.
