1-27-24. 1st time breaking in the new GT4RS at the track and went to Chuckwalla running CCW with SCCA-San Diego to set my baseline. In short, I am blown away at how capable this thing is right out of the box and was able to put down a 1:53.66 in the last session of the day. Had to deal with some understeer as the stock 245’s up front are not enough rubber to really exploit the balance of the platform. Top speed of 123.3MPH in the GT4 increased to 130.2MPH in the GT4RS on the back straight. Very excited to compare data to the rest of the tracks I visit. Luckily for me, my good friend bought my GT4 (and wrapped it in satin black) and was at the track, so we spent all day going back and forth. Doesn’t really get any better than that. Also highlighting his driving ability and how well set up my old GT4 is, he put down a time of 1:53.79, just .13s behind me.
