You can sometimes get a lot of negativity on home renovation accounts, but not all of it is "haters" being mean. When I got a bunch of negative comments about the leadwork on one of my posts, I figured it would be best to investigate it rather than pout about it, and I'm glad I did. Turns out, I'd just assumed that the previous contractor had used the best materials for the job, rather than educating myself first so that I could ask the right questions. In reality, they'd used the cheapest grade of lead and it wasn't up to building regulation standards for this type of work. Shout out to Sam at Mid Lincs Roofing for saving the day. He replaced the cheap stuff with the good stuff and tidied everything up. 👌 If you're having leadwork done, make sure you ask your contractors for the code of the lead they're using, then do your own research to make sure they're using the best grade for the job. #renovation #homerenovation #homereno #reno #diy #victorianhouse #victorianhome #victorianhouserenovation #roofing #roofer #lead #leadwork #lincoln #lincolnshire #heritage
