The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is asking for the public's input on new rules being proposed to address people staying at state rest areas for extended periods of time. According to MDOT, there are no regulations currently in place that limit how long someone can stay at rest areas, roadside parks, and carpool lots. "We can't enforce that they leave," Michigan State Police (MSP) Lieutenant Dale Hinz said. #news #michigan #MDOT #restarea #homeless #proposal #limits #regulations #westmichigan #broadcast #localnews STORY: https://wwmt.com/news/local/mdot-limi... _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: WWMT on Facebook: / wwmtnews WWMT on Twitter: / wwmtnews Subscribe to WWMT on YouTube: / @wwmtnews WWMT Daily News Digest: • WWMT-TV Daily Digest For more information, visit https://www.wwmt.com/ Have a news tip?
