"The Summit " features three of Stages Music Arts most successful young singer-songwriters who brought their unique styles and fierce talent to the stage in the Julian S. Smith Performance Hall on August 10th, 2024. Stages alum and Berklee College of Music student Sophia Bryter shared her soulful voice and powerful piano chops with a stage presence that exuded raw energy. Taylor O’Connell - a Berklee grad and Stages instructor - channeled her inner Joni Mitchell with her sometimes powerful, sometimes delicate voice over a bed of folky acoustic guitar. Rounding out the trio was guitar phenom Morgan Gonce. Herself a Stages alumnus and Berklee student, Morgan speaks through her guitar in a voice that is wise beyond her years with both technical prowess and emotional depth. Sophia and Morgan are both shining examples of what can grow when you fuse talent, passion, dedication and the support of experienced and knowledgeable teachers and mentors, like those at Stages Music Arts. We were proud to welcome them back to the stage where they honed their skills and to continue to support them as they, like Taylor, complete their Berklee education and continue to reach for their dreams and make music not only their passion, but their profession.
