Even if they encounter pure ice, it will turn into fierce flames, leaving them with no escape. To rescue these deceased souls, the Heavenly Esteemed One imparted these two divine spells. The 'Celestial Passage Truth Mantra' brings natural happiness, sustenance in the form of nectar, and cuts off the karma of afflictions. It has the power to liberate deceased souls from the torments of hell, grant them liberation, and allow them to enjoy the bliss of nectar. The 'Purifying Fengdu and Breaking Hell's Bonds Heavenly Ascension Mantra' enables the souls trapped in hell to escape the three torments and five afflictions, namely, liberation from the three evil paths of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals, as well as the five sufferings of birth, aging, illness, death, and encounters with those one hates. By listening to or chanting this spell, one can transcend deceased souls, freeing them from the sufferings of hell and granting them the opportunity to ascend to heaven.
