You will need just a pan to cook rice with vegetables. Simple and easy meal that can be served as a separate or side dish. The thing is that it takes a little of time to cook this dish. Rice with vegetables is tasty and healthy meal for adults and kids. Ingredients: • long-grain rice – 200 g • carrot – 100 g • onion – 100 g • fresh frozen green peas – 70 g • frozen corn – 70 g • bell pepper – 180 g • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp • hot water – 400 ml • garlic – 3 cloves • Italian herb blend – 1 tsp • ground black pepper – ½ tsp • salt – 1½ tsp You will need: • pan Ø26 cm • bowl • carving board Preparation: 1. Cut the carrot, onion and bell pepper into small dices, mince the garlic. 2. Rinse the rice in warm water changing it 8 times until water is clear. 3. Heat a pan with 3 tbsp of vegetable oil, add the onion and fry over medium heat for 2 minutes. 4. Add the carrot and fry over medium heat for another 5 minutes. 5. Then add the bell pepper, green peas, corn, salt, ground black pepper and Italian herb blend, stir and fry over medium heat for 3 minutes. 6. Add the washed rice and fry stirring over medium heat for 2 minutes. 7. Then add hot water until it covers the rice and veggies, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid and cook for 15-16 minutes until readiness of rice. 8. Serve the rice with vegetables as a main dish or side dish to meat or fish. Advices: 1. We recommend using long-grain or parboiled rice as it comes out crumbly. 2.
