i literally peaked here my life is devoid of meaning and i pray for death every single day Original description: Featured on Digital Diamonds: https://www.minecraftforum.net/news/7... "You used Note Block Studio, this is included in it" -- No, I created the song file while making this video. The creator of the original NBS (David "Davve" Andrei: https://mineimator.fandom.com/wiki/Da...) reached out to me about including it in the program and I agreed. If you download the old NBS (https://www.stuffbydavid.com/mcnbs) and open the song, it's credited to me. The structure in this video looks nothing like the one generated by NBS, and NBS wasn't even capable of generating note blocks when this video was published. My first and only attempt at translating a song into MC note blocks, done in survival (creative mode didn't exist then). I divided up the blocks into three layers: vocals, rhythm/backup vocals, and drum/bass. Vocals are above me, drum is the on the bottom left, and bass is on the bottom right. The layer you see in the video is the rhythm layer. If you'll notice everything seems to be a bit more "structured" once the fast part kicks in; that's because I was still trying to figure out what the hell I was doing in the intro. I'm not a musician so I know it's not 100% perfect and there's probably a couple of stray notes here and there I didn't pick up on, but I think it came out pretty good. For those inquiring, this was a bit less than a day of work spread out over a couple of months. I wouldn't interpret that as too much free time, but that's just me. The entire thing is over 3000 music blocks. As for tools I used: Terrain editing - MCEdit Inventory editing - LolEditor Song planning/sequencing - Minecraft Song Planner (now Minecraft Note Block Studio). The file I created for it is now an example file bundled with the program (thanks Davve). Recording - Fraps The hard drive with this world file died a long time ago so I don't have the map, sorry.
