Hello and welcome to Episode 4 in Hanoi! We started today's video by traveling back to Noi Bai airport. My sister and I were too sleepy during our flight that we left it at the airport. Fortunately, the staff are responsive and we were able to get it back smoothly. Since we were not able to eat breakfast, we decided to have brunch at Popeyes before going to the Old Quarter. It was my first time trying Popeyes so I made sure to try the classics. I ordered the spicy chicken which was not spicy at all. It was crispy, well seasoned, meaty, and served piping hot! It's hard to dislike chicken that is done right so it hit the spot right away. But I am more curious about the biscuit. Growing up in the Philippines, I would only recognize either rice or burger at fastfood chains. Never buscuits. And every time Popeyes would be a topic, people would always rave about it. At first bite, I immediately noticed how airy yet heavy it was. The outer part was a little toasty while the inner part was soft and fluffy. It's definitely something that you should eat right away! Really good! Next is the Cajun Burger. I have always been a fan of legit chicken burgers. And this one absolutely impressed me! The presentation is far from your usual "fast" food items which looks far from the actual photos. It's very presentable with the fresh looking veggies and huge chicken breast patty. Just by the looks of it, I already assumed it to be good! And when I took a bite, I am totally right! The chicken itself was massive, cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was complemented well with the cajun sauce which has enough spices to keep you eating more. I also loved the generous portions of lettuce and tomatoes which made every bite fresh and full of textures. This went well with the crispy addicting fries which looked like KFC fries slash Army Navy fries! We ended the meal with milo drinks! Sweet and cooling! Definitely for kids and kids at heart! Apparently, there's a lot of juices/milk drinks anywhere in Hanoi. I am assuming that this is because they have a huge number of children in every corner especially in the area where we live, Times City. Our final destination for the night is of course, in the Old Quarter. Night life there especially on weekends are insanely packed with people, more street foods, and street preformers! I needed to finish editing a video so we stayed at J'dore cafe around the Hoan Kiem Lake for coffee and space. Then, we walked around for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not like the entire experience so I won't be mentioning any information about the restaurant. Maybe it was not the best time for them and for us. So we cooled off with Kem Ong Hoi An (Ice Cream)! Each popsicle costs 5.000vnd/.21USD. We had mint, strawberry, and melon flavors. Perfect for Hanoi heat! We kept on walking and watching the street performers around and bought another batch of ice cream to cool off again! It was very tiring to walk with the hot and humid weather. There's a certain sticky feeling when sweating here compared to the Philippines. So went home really tired but desperate to get a cold shower! That's it for today's episode! Please like, subscribe, and hit that notification bell for future videos! Can't wait to see you on Episode 5! I just want to thank you all for supporting my journey! We are turning 5k! I would appreciate your continuous support as we hit 10k subs hopefully this year! Once we have reached our goal, I would love to have a meet and greet with you all so I can personally thank you!
