Early on, he felt glimmers of expansion in video games like Kingdom Hearts, seeing Guru's in Kung Fu movies, interests in Houdini/magic, and a dream of God as pure void/light. Going into middle school, a deep entrancement in separation and dualism developed. Intense suffering and seeking quickly turned into depression and victimhood. Around 7th grade a desire developed to do whatever necessary to take control of life. This sparked an obsession with self-help, figures like Tim Ferriss and Tony Robbins, and a lifestyle of hard work, planning and self-improvement. This continued into high school. Senior year of high school, exhausted with the constant striving and little progress made from extreme efforting, for the first time Zane experimented with doing things without thinking or trying, and glimpses of synchronicity and openness began to appear. He experimented with cannabis, which caused big emotional releases and allowed for more effortless states of being. This led into college where things began to flourish for the first time. Through trying mushrooms freshman year of college, Zane tasted of a state he describes as no-mind and subtle experiences like synchronicity and telepathy took place repeatedly. It was clear this was the place he had been searching for since childhood. Desperate to find the way back without the need for mushrooms, he began praying to Jesus. He would ask Jesus to take control of his life and hurl any sense of doership/identity into a void in his imagination in hope that Jesus would set him on the right path. A deep unraveling began to take place. There was an obsession with this void and Zane began staring at it most hours of the day. After a couple weeks the intensity began to peak. A vision came that said to find the big answer, you need to figure out the substance of you and the universe. Through no conscious effort of his own, he was guided to type this question in google where the “Power of Now” audiobook showed up. As the intensity began to peak, with the Power of Now playing, he laid down on his floor. The story of the Buddha showed up. He remembered the Buddha sitting and refusing to get up until reaching enlightenment. With the deepest conviction and desperation he knew, Zane hurled all sense of identity into that void and commanded himself not to move until something budged. At some point he fell asleep in it and woke up. Everything changed forever. There was direct seeing and knowing that awareness was the substance. There was no longer any sense of attachment or tension, even to tension itself. Wells of trauma began to rise and release, and Zane’s entire life changed in a matter of weeks with no effort or doing of his own. He remained predominantly in this place of no-mind mode from July 2019 to November, and experienced an abundant outpouring of miracles, releases on all levels of experience, and a foundation of peace that would never leave. In November 2019 a sudden thrashing to the nervous system occurred which sparked a sequence of contraction, invitations of guilt and fear, and a sense of having lost this no-mind mode. Determined to find the way back, Zane spent the next five years studying spirituality full time. It began with a love for Neville Goddard and the Kybalion. This flowed back to Eckhart Tolle for a long time. Next was an adoration for Rupert Spira which flowed into many months studying Francis Lucille. The focus shifted to Swami Sarvapriyananda and Ramakrishna and there was deep resonance and love towards both, but the search continued. Finally David Bingham’s video with Nina came along with a deep sense of having found an old friend. After several weeks of consuming David’s material, while going through the exercise of seeing objects as impersonal, neutral objects of awareness, the no-mind mode, or experiencing from the body of wisdom returned. The mind shut off and there was knowing this was the place Zane had found and lost in 2019, but with clear understanding of what was taking place. The search was finished. This inspired Zane to email David which sparked the following conversation."
