Monday, February 4, 1974. Footage of Carlos Monzon, the Argentinean world middleweight boxing champion, sparring at his training camp in Neuilly in preparation for his title bout against the Cuban-born Mexican welterweight champion Jose Napoles. The fight was scheduled to take place in a specially erected tent in Paris. Among the spectators was the film star Alain Delon. Delon had by the 1970s become a promoter and patron in boxing. He was heavily involved in the last phase of the career of Jean Claude Bouttier including Bouttier's losing effort to Monzon. He also became good friends with Monzon, visiting Monzon in prison before Monzon's death in a car accident. Delon played a boxer in the 1960 film "Rocco and His Brothers".
