Unboxing a 2005 NOS Hoover Model C1631 Commercial Upright Vacuum

This find is on loan from my good friend Evan, who just took over a vacuum store full of 20+ years of NOS inventory, junk, and dirt. Last weekend I helped him fill three 30-yard dumpsters, scrub floors, replace lighting, vacuum carpets, break down old boxes, assemble new vacuums, and more. The Hoover Guardsman C1631 was a standard-width commercial upright based on the workhorse Convertible/Decade 80 platform, and featured a steel-lined fan chamber, 50 foot 3 wire cord, chromed steel handle, foot switch, and steel agitator with two brushes (no beaters, which would be useless on commercial glue-down carpeting anyway). This example, from 2005, was made by Hoover in North Canton, Ohio, and to me represents one of the "last good" Hoover vacuum cleaners. Thank you, Evan, for letting me take this home and play with it!
