Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave says the cost-of-living crisis seems to be affecting “everyone except those causing it”. Mr Hardgrave said it is hurting “so many Australians”. “There's something fundamentally perverse about Australian farmers … being paid remainder price for produce and then they’re watching the big retailers pocket what can only be described as, middle man profits, when their produce is actually sold to us – the consumers. “Now I get it, transport and especially refrigeration, all those costs, well they are sky-high because of the Albanese governments' obsession with renewable energy and it's driving power prices up and it is naturally being passed on to consumers. “The trouble is Labor is following the lead of the crazy Greens on all of this – they’re Marxists and these Marxists said some years ago, ‘we don't need farmers because we’ve got Woolworths and Coles’. “While most of us thought that was all a joke, it actually seems the Greens and Labor are now using this as some sort of style guide … to decommission our agricultural industry and it’s all on the altar of their false God of climate change. “What they’re trying to do is get rid of us – starve us out, it’s absolute madness.”
