This is my personal story living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) — what it feels like before a seizure, the precautions I try to take, and the reality of living with paralysis and weakness in my legs. For the past 21 days, I’ve been completely immobile, relying on my electric wheelchair and carers to help me manage basic daily tasks. I wanted to share what this really feels like — the fear before a seizure, the confusion of absence seizures, the sudden collapse of drop attacks, and the frustration of willing your body to move when it just doesn’t fully respond. I don’t have the best camera, mic, or lighting, and I know things around me might not look perfect. But that’s the reality of my situation right now — living in one room, relying on others for food, water, and care. What matters to me is honesty and spreading awareness — because FND is real, it’s life-changing, and it deserves to be understood. If you’re living with FND or any chronic condition, or if you’re trying to understand what someone you love is going through, I hope this video helps. Thank you for listening to my story and helping raise awareness for FND. 💙 Please leave any questions in the comments below — I’ll answer them as soon as I can.
