The trip to Bunce Island was organised by Sierra Leonean Agency- Visit Sierra Leone (VSL) This trip was very insightful and the tour guide Alusine Kamara was very informative. We were able to learn more -not only about the history of slavery in Sierra Leone, but also the influence some of our language has in places like America. We would recommend all young Sierra Leoneans to participate in activities like these as it is a great opportunity to know more about our culture and history and the way in which our people were treated.
